For eight years I have been using exclusively artisan handmade soap, the so-called “natural” soap. Without exception and 100% consistent! Even on trips, trips to nature, public places in the city… In my bag, there is always a natural soap for single use or a small package of liquid soap, also handmade.
That’s my habit, a bit strange to many. However, I do not give it up, nor does it occur to me.
And my skin thanks me! Just like mother nature!
Let’s start from the beginning…
The first written evidence of soap, ie a soap-like substance, dates back to ancient Babylon, 2800 BC. It was made from vegetable oils and ash and was used to wash the body as well as laundry. The ancient Egyptians also produced it, and in the golden age of the Roman Empire, Pliny the Elder mentions “Sapo” (the Latin name for soap) and somewhat indignantly claims that men use it more than women! Ha! What a historical moment!!! Is not it?
Ancient Persia and the Middle East, the Arab world and the commitment to cleanliness of the body made the first recipe for making soap see the light of day on the historical stage. From then until today, soap has never lost its importance and is closely associated first of all with health and cleanliness, and only then with beauty and cosmetics. New technologies have made it easily available and cheap, mass production has become widespread, so soap has become something so common in the life of the modern man that it is classified as “default”. Nevertheless, soap is one of the many pivots of modern civilization and without it the defense against impurity and disease would not be so successful.
Unfortunately, innovation and technology sometimes bring the “thing” to a dead end. Today’s cheap and easily available soap, and even the expensive one, is no longer soap, but a mass-produced synthetic detergent that helps in the fight against impurity as much as it degreases by drying the skin, removing its protective layer, causing itching and allergic reactions in sensitive people. a person. This kind of “soap” is considered one of the culprits (in addition to highly processed food) for the almost pandemic occurrence of eczema and other skin changes in children and adults.
Synthetic soap is slow and difficult to decompose in nature, harms the living world of large and small waters and can be considered one of the pollutants. About seven and a half billion people live on the planet, so it is not difficult to “add two and two”.
However, people’s awareness is slowly changing and more and more people are returning to the natural sources of their basic needs. This also applies to soap. The real and only one who can be called by that name. Everything else is detergents.

IN COSMETICS
In my care, I always started with soap. First from him. After all, it is the basis, and everything else is an upgrade, a matter of habits, preferences, and even budget! But soap! It’s an item after all!
I use it for hygiene and care of the whole body (I say care on purpose because ordinary soap is only for washing; however, natural soap “does something a little more”). Natural, no other. I’ve considered it my little luxury for years because natural soap is just that for everyone’s skin. This is not about money, but about the need to do the best I can for the health of my skin. As well as for beauty. By bathing with natural soap, the skin does not lose its moisture and remains fresh and toned over the years.
Don’t be fooled by the intoxicating scents of bath gels that are (especially here) very popular. They are difficult to wash off, unfortunately never completely; their composition, even for laymen, speaks volumes about their harmfulness. That is why today every second woman suffers from dry body skin, itching and sporadic or frequent rashes.
Natural soaps are clean because they are made from natural fats, they foam slightly because they do not contain surfactants, they are mild because they do not contain surfactants. Their power is in their simplicity.
Use natural soaps and in two weeks of regular use you will see a huge difference. When I saw it, I never went back to conventional soaps, which in fact are not.
